Angelo Buono, along with his cousin Kenneth Bianchi, was known as one of the "Hillside Stranglers." They were responsible for the murders of ten young women and girls in the Los Angeles area between 1977 and 1978. Their crimes were marked by sexual assault, torture, and strangulation. Buono was convicted in 1983 and sentenced to life in prison, where he died in 2002.
